Earthquake!

Bah-boom! It was that quick. 1-2 second of earthquaki-ness. It was enough to have me fly out of bed and turn to my sleepy Jon and ask "WHAT was that?!" And as if we live in California and this happens daily my Jon wakes up just long enough to say, "I think it was an earthquake...zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz." and he was out like a light. I went to check on Lucy, who, luckily had her dad's perspective on things and kept sleeping.

It took me awhile to fall back asleep...I mean, was this it? Was there going to be another massive earthquake? I finally did fall back asleep. And Jon let me sleep in until 7am when he came in with Lucy and said "Did we talk about an earthquake last night or was that a dream? Because it's on the news..."

I love my husband.

Sounds like Cody. I have been quite antsy about earthquakes lately- mainly because a majority of the US is due for one right around now (and has been for years)...When I bring it up to Cody - he's like, annnnd? ( but he did grow up in Cali sooo whatev.) I have these minor "what if there was an earthquake right now?" moments. Then I formulate how I'd hide or get outside, etc. I'm glad you're safe!
