Christmas Card

A copy of our Christmas Card!

December 6, 2008
Hello Everyone!
Well it has been an exciting year full of changes, changes and more changes for The Javid Family! Jon and I both graduated from college (Jon from BYU, me from BYU-Idaho) in April. As a celebration we went on a cruise with my siblings to the Western Caribbean! It was SO fun! I think my favorite thing was playing with Stingrays in Grand Caymen!
In June the biggest change of all was that we found out we were having a baby!!!
In July we went to Seattle to visit my sister Shelly and we visited the famous city of Forks! For those of you who are not Twilight fans, it is the city in which the book Twilight is set. This is of course right around when the morning sickness from our soon-to-be bundle of joy set in. Boo to the morning sickness. I was sick from about 6 weeks until 14 weeks. I lost about 10 lbs my first trimester, but don’t worry I have gained it ALL back! (and then some).
On August 3rd we had our 1st year anniversary! Yeah! (Except for that Jon was sick in bed and I was still ill with the morning sickness blues). So not a whole lot of celebrating happened on that actual day, luckily EVERY day is a celebration with Jon! In August we also attended The Wirig Family Roundup a family reunion not to be forgotten complete with a pony rides and a giant slide! We had a great time celebrating Grandma Wirig’s birthday and playing games with everyone!
A day or two after the family reunion Jon and I moved to the Chicago area where Jon is attending Northern Illinois University (on scholarship!.. I’m his wife I can brag) to pursue is his doctorate degree in Audiology. He is at the top of his class! And the ONLY boy for miles! With the exception of one, all of his professors, classmates and work associates are women! But we have just decided that it’s Jon’s lot in life to be surrounded by women. It’s good for him!
At the end of August we took a little trip to Michigan to visit Jon’s Aunt Liana and Grandma and Grandpa Javid! It was fun to spend time with them as we learned more about how Grandpa came to the United States and about how Grandma and Grandpa met! They also introduced us to the most spectacular orange juice that has ever met my lips! We had a great time!
At the end of October we found out that our little baby is in fact a healthy, active baby girl! Yeah another girl for Jon! So far all we know about her is that she likes chocolate! Every time I eat a bit of chocolate, about 2-5 minutes later she is tap dancing in my tummy! She is due to grace us with her presence on March 4, 2009. (So in theory she could have the same birthday as Aunt Lisa! If she comes any later she will be my birthday present!) We are praying that she will be a happy, joyful and obedient baby! (aka an easy baby). So any prayers toward that outcome are most appreciated!
On November 11th my Jon turned 24! Still not old enough to rent a car, but he is getting up there in years! In honor of his birthday we went to see the musical “Wicked” in Chicago! Which we very much enjoyed! Then we went to dinner at the Rainforest CafĂ©! Holy cow! If you go there you need to order the B-B-Q beef wrap! It was incredible!
Well that’s about it for now!
We love you all and wish you a very Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and a Happy Happy Happy New Year!
Love,
Steph, Jon and Baby Girl Javid 
